Q. When does registration begin for Summer Day Camp 2010?
A. Registration for Summer Camp 2010 begins for current Club members on March 1, 2010. Registration for non-Club members begins on April 1, 2010. The day camp programs fill up quickly, so register early!
Q. How do I register for Summer Day Camp 2010?
A. You can download a Fill-In Summer Camp Application Form located to the right, or stop by any of our Clubs to get an application. You will need to return the completed application, along with the registration fee (explained below) to the Club you wish your child to attend. You will also need to provide a photocopy of your child's birth certificate. Your child's spot will not be guaranteed until the Club office has received your completed application and registration fee.
There will also be a MANDATORY orientation that you must attend in order for your child to participate in Summer Day Camp 2010.
The mandatory orientation meeting times are as follows:
Belmont Avenue Boys & Girls Club (Map): Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 6:00pm
Milton Road Boys & Girls Club (Map): Wednesday, June 2 at 6:00pm
Marsh Road Boys & Girls Club (Map): Wednesday, June 2 at 6:30pm
Q. How much is the Registration fee and weekly fees for Summer Day Camp 2010? Are there any other fees?
A. Fees for Summer Day Camp 2010 are as follows:
  • Registration: $10 (Due at time of registration)
  • Weekly Deposit: $5 per week your child will be attending (Due at time of registration; Maximum of $45 based on nine weeks attendance)
  • Weekly Fee: $50 (Due each Friday to the Club your child is attending; Maximum of $450 based on nine weeks attendance)
  • Additional Fees: $30 covers the cost of the trip to Carowinds on the below dates:
    • Belmont, Milton & Davidson Clubs - August 6, 2010
    • Marsh, Boulevard Homes, Dillehay and Center of Hope Clubs - August 13, 2010

Please note that all fees are non-refundable.
Q. What are the beginning and end dates for Summer Day Camp 2010?
A. Summer Day Camp 2010 begins Monday, June 14, 2010 and ends on Friday, August 20, 2010.
All Clubs are closed the week following the July 4th holiday (July 5, 2010-July 9, 2010)
Daily hours are 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Q. What age children are allowed in the Summer Day Camp 2010?
A. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Charlotte serve children and teenagers, ages 6 - 18.
Q. Do participants go on field trips?
A. Yes. The children will have the opportunity to attend many field trips throughout the summer. These include the trips mentioned above as well as swimming, museums, Discovery Place, The North Carolina Zoo, college tours (for teenagers), Zuma Fun Center, and many other fun and educational locations in the Charlotte area.
Q. What types of activities are offered throughout the day?
A. Club members have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities including recreation in the facilities' gymnasiums, educational activities in the on-site computer labs, arts activities in the art rooms, and fun in the game rooms.
Q. Do members need to bring lunch or a snack?
A. Lunches and snacks are provided, although participants are welcome to bring their own if they wish.
